About us

The initial idea was originally developed in 2009, when the limits of raditional PV greenhouses became apparent in the first industrial scale application


2011
Gramma GAM is incorporated and the original inventor is joined by a small group of highly experienced business managers and finance operators

The agronomical experimentation is started and will continue for 3 years

2012
First sale in Italy and beginning of the commercial partnership with Metalsistem, a primary Italian company producing modular steel structures for PV system
2013
Developed partnership with GP Joule, a leading German EPC which is now operating worldwide generating annual turnover in excess of EUR 100m
2014
Innoenergy selects Gramma as one of the company to back through its EIT Knowledge & Innovative Community program

First development in Germany completed by GP Joule

2015
First development in France completed by Enerimmo

Innoenergy buys into Gramma share capital

2016
Cultiveco, the EPC partnership between Gramma and GP Joule, builds the first industrial model of the optimised Gramma Greenhouse

Jacopo Rubbia

Co-Founder & Entrepreneur

Gramma co-founder and CEO, and financial control. He was one of the co-founders of PRV Energy and previously worked for 7 years in finance in London. Graduated in computer engineering.

Philip Prause

Co-Founder & Entrepreneur

Gramma co-founder and CEO of Cultiveco. Responsible for the commercial activities in Germany and new markets. He previously worked in the finance industry in London and Hong Kong and has a degree in economics and business from Maastricht University.

Liliana Martellani

Managing Director

Managing Director of Gramma since 2013, she is a co-founder and CEO of PRV Energy. She previously worked for more than 20 years in strategic management consulting. Graduated in Sociology in Italy and with specialization in Business Administration in the US.
